Amazon Consent Signal Integration with UniConsent CMP

Amazon Ads requires a consent signal for visitors from the EEA and the UK. The UniConsent Amazon Consent Signal tag passes each visitor's UniConsent choice to Amazon, so Amazon Ad Tags and pixels on your site know what the visitor allowed.

Add the tag

Add this tag after the UniConsent tag, on every page that has Amazon tags:

<script async src="https://cmp.uniconsent.com/v2/amazon-consent.min.js"></script>

What it sends

The tag loads Amazon's consent library from c.amazon-adsystem.com and calls amznConsent() on page load and after every choice. Amazon stores the result in the amzn_consent cookie, which its tags read.

Amazon fieldValue
amznAdStorageGoogle Consent Mode ad_storage
amznUserDataGoogle Consent Mode ad_user_data
tcfThe IAB TCF string, where IAB TCF applies. Amazon uses it first.
gppThe IAB GPP string, where GPP is on
countryCodeThe visitor's two-letter country code

Notes

  • Before a visitor in the EU makes a choice, Amazon keeps its default: both values denied.
  • After a US "Do Not Sell or Share" opt-out or Global Privacy Control, ad storage stays granted and user data is denied, as for Google.
  • Google Consent Mode must stay enabled in your project, because the tag reads its values.
  • Amazon tags must still wait for consent: load them with unicscript or a unic_data trigger in Google Tag Manager.
  • If your site uses a Content Security Policy, allow c.amazon-adsystem.com and edge.uniconsent.com.
