Announcing GPP (Global Privacy Platform) API support in UniConsent CMPAnnouncing GPP (Global Privacy Platform) API support in UniConsent CMP

Uniconsent CMP is now offering support for the global privacy platform API. This new GPP API feature allows publishers to integrate with a wider range of systems and platforms that supports GPP API such as prebid.js, giving global publishers and marketers even more flexibility and control over their consent management processes.

The global privacy platform API is a standardized, open-source API that allows for the exchange of consent-related data between different systems and platforms. This means that businesses using Uniconsent CMP can now easily share consent data with other systems.

"Privacy regulations such as GDPR, CCPA, CPRA, PIPEDA, and numerous new local privacy laws, create immense complexity and fragmentation in the market. The GPP is intended to enable participants across the advertising supply chain to navigate the complexity of numerous overlapping global privacy laws through a single platform and consent signalling protocol," - Jason J. Raqueno, Senior Director, Privacy, at IAB Tech Lab.

GPP is built based on the existing TCF 2.0 framework, and also uses discrete segments, supporting multiple privacy formats and signals (both existing & new ones), as a starting point.

GPP API is provided as an additional consent API along with existing IAB EU TCF API 2.0 and US CCPA API.

Uniconsent CMP users can turn on or off GPP API support with one click at the UniConsent dashboard.
